This past year of 2017 has been a challenging one for me. I’ve been in the middle of restoring my home
due to a busted water pipe causing major damages. We started with stripping everything down to the
studs in the walls and rebuilding from there. After nearly a year it is almost ready to move back in to.
I’m making some big changes in 2018.
After living in Virginia for nearly forty years, I’m downsizing and returning to my home in Central
Florida. It won’t be easy leaving the beautiful state of Virginia and wonderful people I've grown to love. It
will require me to make some brutal decisions. I’ll be moving to my townhouse from a much larger
home. There won’t be anymore areas to store things I don’t even know I have, so I’ll only be taking what
I love, need, and is functional. It’s funny how we spend most of our lives collecting things, only to realize
we didn’t need most of it.
I’m looking forward to the move and I love the idea of simplifying my life. It will provide me more time
to write and enjoy. My possessions will no longer own me.
I welcomed 2018 and am excited about once again being able to focuse on my writing. I’m working on
another Madison Hart Mystery, AND a book I’ve thought about doing for a long time. I’m having loads of
fun writing, yes a cookbook. It won’t be one of those loose twenty pounds in ten days kind of books. It’s
filled with fun, humor and easy dishes from breakfasts to dinner with tips on how to make our lives
easier in the kitchen. I want to make cooking an enjoyable adventure, and encourage everyone not to be
afraid to take a chance and experiment with your creativity.
Stay tuned for updates on my new books, and what’s happening in this next stage of my life!
