After two years of uncertainty and transition due to restoring a flooded home, selling my home in Virginia, moving back to Florida, buying another home, moving three times in three months, I decided it was time to get back to my writing. First thing was to update my website. Horror… my site had been taken down and I lost everything.
I poured myself a glass of wine, but it should have been a stiff drink. I had no idea what I was going to do. The older I get (I'll be 75 in a few days) the more difficult learning new things appeared to be, but what choice did I have?
I’m the kind of person that has to clean my house before I put fresh flowers around, so is the same principle with writing. I have to have everything in order; my office, which is an ongoing challenge which I’ll address at another time, and then my website and mailing list. The later I lost…no website and all my contacts down the tubes. Yes, maybe I should just set the bottle of wine next to my chair.
Oh, well! I couldn’t put it off any longer, but where do I start?
How about here? I googled FREE web designing and hosting and came up with this. Is it as easy as my old website? Probably not. But in time and probably a thousand tweaks, I’ll manage to put up a decent site. Bare with this technically challenged lady’s attempts at this. In the meantime, I hope you’ll enjoy my books, and my FIRST EVER Blog!
Slow and steady baby steps. Yes, starting over doesn't have to be a bad thing! Have a wonderful and safe day!
I think it's a great idea so good luck with the new site! xx
